Health Science—This pathway prepares students to work directly with patients to provide care, treatment, counseling, and health information. Students gain an understanding of health-related topics, including human anatomy, physiology, disease prevention, medical terminology, and patient care.

Examples of jobs include:

  • Admitting clerk
  • Advanced practical nurse
  • Certified nursing assistant (CNA)
  • Medical and health services manager 
  • Medical assistant
  • Medical biller
  • Medical transcriptionist

*Some of these jobs require additional education and certifications once a student graduates from high school.
