Any student in grades K–12 who resides in South Carolina is eligible for full-time enrollment.

Because COA provides all the lesson plans and materials needed for grades K–12, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple students in the program.

Since COA is a public school program, there is no tuition. COA provides state-certified teachers and all instructional materials for the program.* However, students and families are responsible for providing some consumable materials (such as printer ink and paper). In addition, families are required to provide their own computers and internet access to participate in the program. COA will provide loaner computers as needed, and this determination will take place during the enrollment process.

The school calendar includes school holidays or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days.

Flex is a program designed to help optimize a student’s learning schedule through flexible options. Check out how COA’s Flex program works and learn more about program eligibility.

*Materials vary by course and grade. Please check with COA staff to see what offline course materials are provided.
