The Tools You Need
At COA, we are committed to providing comprehensive support to our students, ensuring their well-being, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Here is the list of services we offer:
- Individual Counseling Sessions: We provide confidential one-on-one counseling sessions for students to address their specific needs and concerns in a supportive environment.
- Morning and Afternoon Small Group Sessions: Our small group sessions offer a space for students to connect with peers, share experiences, and learn coping strategies in a supportive group setting.
- Teacher and Self-Referrals: Students can be referred to our counseling services by teachers or may seek assistance themselves through self-referral.
- Outside Mental Health Referrals: In cases where specialized care is needed beyond our scope, we offer referrals to external mental health professionals to ensure students receive the appropriate support.
- SEL 7 Mindsets during Homeroom: Our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program integrates the SEL 7 Mindsets curriculum during homeroom sessions, promoting self-awareness, resilience, and positive relationships.
- 1:1 IGP Meetings with Rising Freshman: We conduct individualized meetings with rising freshmen to support their transition to high school, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Virtual Clubs and Social Events: To foster a sense of community and connection, we organize virtual clubs and social events where students can engage in shared interests and build relationships.
