At COA, we witness the transition as online students come together for in-person testing sessions, blending virtual learning with real-world assessment experiences.
The state of South Carolina mandates that public school students participate in standardized testing. As a public school in SC, these tests are mandatory for our students.
Upcoming Testing:
- SC Ready Testing
SC Ready Testing will be administered in May. 3rd, 5th, and 7th graders will test on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. 4th and 6th graders will test Monday through Friday. Testing weeks will be determined by the site your child is assigned to.
Students in grades 3 through 5 will test from 9:00am to 12 noon and students in grade 6 through 8 will test from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

- Myrtle Beach: Horry Georgetown Technical College
- Florence: Lynches River Country Park Grand Room
- Bluffton: USCB Bluffton
May 13th- May 17th:
- Orangeburg: Claflin University
- Rock Hill: Glencairn Garden Learning Center
- Columbia: Sunset Blvd Church of Christ
- Charleston: Trident Technical College
If your child has a mandatory assessment, an email will be sent to the learning coach entailing the details (name of the test, testing location, date and time). The learning coach needs to RSVP to the test or contact the testing coordinator if they are unable to get to the specified testing location on the specified dates.
