Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 25/26 school year at Carolus Online Academy! We are honored that you’ve chosen to partner with us in your child’s educational journey. At COA, our mission remains clear: to nurture each student’s potential through personalized education, a culture of hope, and a commitment to excellence for grades K–12.

At Carolus, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. Our educators and staff are deeply invested in the academic, social, and emotional well-being of every student. We recognize the importance of your choice in education, and we are proud to offer engaging instruction delivered by highly qualified, South Carolina-certified teachers. We also emphasize essential soft skills that will empower our students to succeed and thrive in an ever-evolving world.

What Sets COA apart in 25/26:

  • Personalized Academic Plans: Every student is unique. Our individualized learning paths ensure that each student’s strengths and needs are at the forefront of their educational experience.
  • Culture of Hope and Belief in Success: We’ve cultivated a trauma-informed environment that inspires achievement and resilience. Our team is committed to fostering a mindset of hope, growth, and belief in each learner’s ability to succeed.
  • Expanded Counseling Support: Our dedicated counselors work closely with students to develop meaningful graduation plans and prepare for future academic and career opportunities.
  • Clubs and Enrichment Programs: We are excited to offer a growing range of student-led and interest-based clubs, including:
    • National Honor Society (NHS)
    • National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
    • Chess Club
    • Art Club, Photography Club, and Cooking Club (with age-specific versions across Elementary, Middle, and High School campuses.) These programs promote leadership, service, critical thinking, and creative expression.
  • Ambassador Programs: Our Parent Ambassador and Student Ambassador initiatives help foster deeper connections across the state, making COA a true statewide community.
  • Support for Gifted Learners: We continue to expand our Gifted/Advanced Learning Program (ALP) to ensure all students are challenged and supported at the right level.
  • Innovative Learning Tools: We’re using tools like iReady for targeted reading growth and Thrively to help each student understand their strengths, passions, and social-emotional development.
  • In-Person Community Events: Connection matters. Monthly regional events provide students and families with opportunities to engage, collaborate, and build lasting relationships.
  • Project Give Back – Carolus Cares: Every eight weeks, we will continue to host Carolus Cares events where families can shop for free from donated items. This initiative promotes generosity, reduces waste, and strengthens community ties.
