Carolus Online Academy Launches Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) 

Together, We Soar!

At Carolus Online Academy, we believe that strong schools are built through strong partnerships between families, students, teachers, and staff. That’s why we are excited to officially launch the Carolus Online Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! 

As a statewide virtual public charter school serving students across all 46 counties in South Carolina, creating meaningful connections is at the heart of everything we do. Our PTO will help strengthen those connections while supporting student success, school events, staff appreciation, fundraising initiatives, and family engagement opportunities throughout the year. 

What is the COA PTO? 

The COA PTO exists to support our school community by bringing families, students, teachers, and staff together to create an even stronger Phoenix Nation. 

The PTO will help support: 

📅 School Events: Creating fun and memorable experiences for students and families. 

📚 Student Success: Supporting programs, resources, and opportunities that help students thrive. 

❤️ Staff Appreciation: Recognizing the incredible work of our teachers and staff. 

💰 Fundraising: Helping provide additional resources and opportunities for students. 

🤝 Community Building: Strengthening relationships among families across South Carolina. 

All Families Are Members! 

One of the best parts of our PTO is that all COA families are automatically members. 

There are: 

• No dues 

• No membership fees 

• No minimum volunteer requirements 

Whether you have a few hours to volunteer each year or simply want to stay informed, there is a place for you in our PTO. 

Ways You Can Help 

Families can choose to support the PTO in a variety of ways, including: 

• Assisting with school events and activities 

• Volunteering at testing sites 

• Supporting book fairs and literacy initiatives 

• Helping with fundraising efforts 

• Serving on PTO committees 

• Sharing ideas and feedback 

• Supporting staff appreciation activities 

Every contribution—big or small—helps make a difference for our students and school community.
