Carolus Online Academy Launches Inaugural National Junior Beta Club Chapter

Stories & Spotlights
COA beta club

Carolus Online Academy is proud to announce the launch of its National Junior Beta Club Chapter, officially chartered on May 11, 2026. This exciting milestone provides a new opportunity for elementary students to develop leadership skills, serve their communities, achieve academic excellence, and build strong character.

The decision to establish a National Junior Beta Club chapter came from a desire to expand academic and leadership opportunities for our elementary students. While COA’s middle and high school students have opportunities to participate in National Honor Society, we recognized a need to provide similar experiences for our younger learners. The National Beta Club was the perfect fit, emphasizing the organization’s four pillars: Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service.

On May 28, 2026, COA proudly inducted its inaugural class of members during a virtual ceremony. The chapter welcomed five fourth-grade students, who will enter fifth grade this fall:

🦅 Caphira A.
🦅 Barrett B.
🦅 Logan C.
🦅 Issac H.
🦅 Vladdie L.

As the first members of the COA National Junior Beta Club, these students are helping establish a legacy that future members will build upon for years to come.

Although the chapter was launched after state testing and near the conclusion of the school year, members are already being encouraged to begin embodying the values of Beta. Students have been challenged to seek out service opportunities within their communities throughout the summer and are invited to apply for leadership positions within the chapter. The inaugural officers will play an important role in welcoming future members and assisting with COA’s first in-person Beta Club induction ceremony this fall.

Membership in Beta Club is both an honor and a responsibility. Members are expected to demonstrate strong academic performance, positive character, leadership within their school and community, and a commitment to service. Through chapter activities, service projects, and leadership opportunities, students will develop skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.

The future is bright for COA’s National Junior Beta Club. This fall, the chapter will induct an additional group of fourth- and fifth-grade students, expanding membership and creating even more opportunities for leadership and service. Looking ahead, there are plans to explore expanding Beta Club opportunities into middle and high school, allowing students to continue their Beta journey throughout their educational career at COA.

Members will also have opportunities to participate in school-sanctioned in-person events. Their first opportunity will be assisting with COA’s upcoming Back-to-School Bash, where they will help welcome families, introduce students to staff, and build community connections. Additionally, members will have opportunities to participate in future Beta conventions, including events scheduled in Concord, North Carolina, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The launch of the National Junior Beta Club represents another step forward in COA’s commitment to developing well-rounded students who excel academically, lead with integrity, and serve others with purpose.

Congratulations to our inaugural Beta Club members! We are excited to see how they will lead, serve, and inspire others as they help build the future of Beta at Carolus Online Academy.
