Milestone Moment: COA Graduation

Stories & Spotlights
COA 2025 Graduation

On May 17, 2025, Carolus Online Academy (COA) proudly celebrated its inaugural graduating class during an in-person ceremony at the SC Public Charter School District office in Columbia. Nearly 50 students from across South Carolina marked this milestone with pride—and promising next steps.

“These students showed up every day with drive and purpose,” said Pamela Sieger, COA Executive Director. “Their success proves that meaningful connection and achievement can thrive in any learning environment.”

Graduates are already forging ahead: 12% earned their diplomas early, 25% have jobs lined up, and 6% plan to serve in the military. Many took part in the school’s Career & College Prep program, which offers dual enrollment and career exploration in fields like Health Science and Marketing.

One standout, Spartanburg student Mizoria Cook—Class of 2025 salutatorian—graduated with three college credits and a clear vision for her future. “COA gave me the independence and support I needed to prepare for college and beyond,” she said.

Reflecting on the day, K–8 Principal Brad Scott shared: “It was truly moving to see these scholars achieve this significant milestone through their unwavering dedication and hard work. Congratulations to all the graduates, their families, and the entire Carolus community on this remarkable achievement.”
